Emma grew up in Clackmannanshire and studied Art and Design at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. After many years of crafting in her spare time, she discovered her love of wildlife painting. Working as a full-time teacher in the heart of rural Argyll, Emma is surrounded by Scottish wildlife and dramatic skies, both of which have become central characteristics of her work. Working with both acrylic and watercolour, Emma creates vivid atmospheric works, capturing the harsh yet beautiful nature of Scotland's environment, as well as serene study pieces where the personality of Scotland's most loved animals takes centre stage.
