Peter Corr is a contemporary landscape artist whose distinctive forest paintings explore the relationship between landscape, memory, atmosphere and imagination. Rooted in observation but moving confidently between representation and abstraction, his work invites the viewer to experience the forest rather than simply observe it.

Peter's career as a specialist in art education, together with experience living and working in Cyprus, Germany and Qatar, has given him a broad creative perspective and a deep understanding of how ideas develop. These experiences continue to influence his approach to
landscape and visual expression.

His innovative use of oil paint and cold wax medium allows him to build richly textured surfaces through layering, scraping and mark-making. Forms emerge and dissolve within the paint, creating works that are simultaneously recognisable and mysterious, structured and intuitive.

Peter has also developed a long-standing and successful collaboration with Karl Backhurst of The Darryl Nantais Gallery, known on the High Street as DNG Contemporary Art and at Art Fairs as Linton59. Their partnership has been an important and rewarding part of Peter's professional career, built on mutual trust, enthusiasm and a shared belief in the quality and potential of his work.

Peter's creativity extends beyond painting into photography and music, particularly monochrome photography and ambient music. Across all three mediums, his approach is guided by the same philosophy: Head, Heart and Hand — bringing together thought, feeling and the physical process of making.

The result is work that is contemporary, atmospheric and deeply personal, inviting the viewer to slow down, look closely and discover their own experience within the landscape.
